Shared my story with some Miami-Dade County high school seniors for BankUnited's Summer Interns' Empowerment Day. They are inspired by our accomplishments because we look like them, grew up in the same communities as them, and experienced some of the same struggles as them.
Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board hosted a forum about youth violence, drugs, sex trafficking and more in North Miami. There was also a Farm share food distribution for community members. Kudos to Shirley Plantin and the entire team for a job well done.
This year I was selected to be a fellow with Broward County’s Chapter of the New Leaders Council. On June 1, 2017, from 5:30pm - 8:00pm, at the Hollywood Vine in Hollywood, FL, this year's fellows will be hosting a fundraiser for the incoming class of fellows. During this event, fellows will be showcasing their capstone projects -- ideas, programs, and events that will impact Broward County. My project was on the need to engage Haitian-American Millennials for positive change in the Haitian Community.
